Bidding and Winning Government Contracts in India - An Overview

(i) This programme explains the public procurement methods adopted by different procuring entities in India and role of strategic sourcing in public procurement in India. It explains the impact of moral hazard and adverse selection in public procurement.
(ii) It explains the bid design process and vendor selection methods adopted in public procurement in India through two case studies.
(iii) It shows the recent government emphasis on non price based criteria in awarding a contract through case study.

 

 

It aims to explain to a private sector/ public sector manager, how bid documents for government contracts are prepared, what is the decision making process in deciding which bidder will get the contract. It explains how pricing should be done while bidding for government contracts so as to win the bid.

Day 2: Bidding strategy by Girish Bhatnagar (GB) (3 hrs)
Day 2: Bid award process and splitting of contract with case study (1.5 hrs) by (MRK)
Day 3: Pricing norms in government contracts with case study by Mr Girish Bhatnagar (3hrs)
Day 3: Bidding on GeM with case study (3 hrs) by (MRK)
